Privacy Policy
Scope of this policy
This policy explains how Chingdon Private Limited ("Chingdon", "we", "us") handles information when a business signs up for, configures, and operates a Chingdon workspace, and when a visitor interacts with chingdon.com.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect the details you provide directly: your name, work email, phone number, company name, and information about your business such as team size and industry. When you use a live workspace, we process the operational data you enter into it, including financial records, inventory counts, sales pipeline entries, purchase orders and payroll inputs, strictly to run the platform on your behalf.
We also collect basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used only to keep the website functioning correctly and secure.
How we use it
- To create and provision your workspace, and send login credentials to the work email you provide.
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To operate the features you use inside a live workspace, such as generating invoices, tracking stock, or running payroll calculations.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
We do not sell personal or business data to third parties, and we do not use workspace data to train external models without your explicit, separate consent.
Storage & security
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Access within our systems is role-based, meaning only personnel who need access to specific data to provide support or maintain the platform are granted it.
Sharing with third parties
We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform, such as our transactional email provider used to deliver signup confirmations and workspace credentials. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Data retention
Workspace data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to close your workspace, you may export your data beforehand; residual copies are removed from active systems within a reasonable period following account closure, subject to any legal obligations that require longer retention.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual limits (for example, financial records that must be retained for statutory periods). To exercise these rights, reach out through our contact page.
